“Material in the process” – Cooperation between the HBK and the INM
For the first time there will be a lecture of the University of Fine Arts Saar in cooperation with the Leibniz Institute for New Materials in the winter semester 2018/19.
The event entitled “Material in the Process” is aimed at students of various HBK design programs. Students will study and understand current research approaches for innovative materials and learn to understand them. Methods and materials from the current research are presented, in teamwork they are being developed in close exchange with researchers. The goal is to develop usage concepts and prototypes for these materials and processes that make them understandable and tangible. Selected works will be implemented in the workshops and laboratories of the INM and exhibited at national and international trade fairs.
